Haifa - The German Colony and the Baha’i Gardens

When the German Christian sect known as the  Templars split from the Lutheran Church 200 years ago, they left Germany to arrive in the Holy Land, in the port city of Haifa, with an aspiration to prepare the land for the Messiah’s arrival. Around the same time in Persia, the Baha’i split from Islam. They left Persia to arrive at the same place—Haifa—with the goal of reaching unity with God. In this city, both groups have left an impressive mark. The German Colony, where the Templars lived, is now a rich and luxurious neighborhood, and the beautiful Baha’i Gardens are an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
